SCALAR Digital Fabrication came about from the thought that not everything that needs to be NC machined or fabricated has to be at tolerances beyond a thousandth of an inch. In fact, we think there’s a lot of need for just getting things made quickly.
High tolerance machining comes at high costs. Some things need to be cheaper and maybe don’t need to have that much precision. There are also some projects that 3D printing just isn’t suited for, despite needing only a small run of products. That’s where we come in.
There are a lot of times just one, three or 20 pieces need to be cut, your costs shouldn’t suffer for someone else’s high fixed capital costs. We are here to fill that gap with cost-effective CNC production of low complexity products without the overhead of paying for a lot of time on a 3D printer or on a high-precision mill.
